Audrey's Back, Tell A Friend
So of course I immediately do that thing all blogs seem to do eventually: I disappeared and have come back to apologize and promise to get back to things.
Health, politics and other recent events have conspired to keep me away. To be completely honest, roleplaying games and blogging just don't seem terribly important sometimes, in the face of the fascist takeover of the United States and the dismantling of the world order.
But that's not true. We have to hold on to the things we love and enjoy, especially at times like these. If we give up the things that keep us sane, the things that keep us human, then what's the point? Art, music, entertainment, our culture is a vital thing and we can't give it up just because the going has gotten tough; it's even more important, now than ever.
I have a few things to talk about in the near future. I got both Everway Silver Anniversary Edition and Daggerheart for my birthday, and I adore them. I've been an Everway fan since I bought the first edition in 1996, and Daggerheart is inventive and easy to understand. Both games are gorgeous and inspirational and I'm looking forward to exploring them.
