Let's generate some content, shall we?

Right now, I have the good fortune to be in a Fallout 2d20 campaign online. The GM mentioned he was running the game and I practically fell at his feet, asking if I could join. We've only had two sessions so far, and I wasn't feeling well for the second, but it's been fun so far, and it's great for learning the system. We play every other Sunday, so I hope I'm feeling better this coming weekend. We're playing through a (heavily) modified version of the Winter of Atom.

My character, Mercury, is a pre-War ghoul scavenger who specializes in poking into Weird Stuff, playing on the hints of Mythos connections in the Fallout series. Originally from the area of The Pitt (Pittsburgh), she's made her way to the Commonwealth and the ruins of Boston chasing rumors, and she's immediately found herself in a life-and-death situation with the rest of the party. I'm really looking forward to seeing how she develops along with the group.

After digging into Star Trek Adventures 2e (also 2d20), I had the idea to convert over some alien species from other IPs. Specifically, those from the Star Frontiers and Alternity games. I haven't made much progress yet because I'm a flake, but I'm hoping this blog will get me into the habit of putting fingers to keys. I'm starting with the Star Frontiers species, and I've got a bit of a plan to test them out. I've been asked to possibly run SFA at some point, and I have a concept involving a rogue planet from the Delta Quadrant and a science vessel sent to investigate it.

I'm considering writing up a series of characters for various games, including the aforementioned Fallout and STA, as well as John Carter of Mars (love me some Barsoom!) and D&D 2025. I already have a character in mind for the latter: a College of Dance bard who specializes in the pure joy that is Bhangra! The idea won't leave me alone, so I gotta get it out of my head.

Other recent aquisitions include Macuahuitl (White Box-based rolepaying in the Aztec Empire), Fate Core (after all this time) and Advanced FASERIP (a wonderful retro-clone of Marvel Super Heroes). I've got something of an embarrassment of riches of reading material right now. So much so that I've told myself I need to slow down a bit!
